Hi Evie. Sorry for the delay. I overlooked your e-mail in the many messages on the Lee Co.,VA Genforum. Well, since you are moving to Tazewell, Tn yo will be only 30 - 40 miles from the Lee Co., VA genealogical sources. (1) The Lee Co., VA Courthouse, Jonesville, VA and the Lee Co., Va Public Library at Pennington Gap, VA, which has a large Lee Co., VA genealogical records collection, as well as, surrounding states/counties. Also, Mark Treadway has recently opened a Genealogical records and books store in Tazewell, including many Lee Co records. Of course, if you have time and are able to drive to the Lee Co., VA Public Library you can do records lookups. without buying the records, which can get pretty expensive. For example to do genealogy Lee Co., VA reaearch, I probably have invested $300-400 for records and genealogical books. Happy hunting. Ed
