A Blackston Williams, my father referred to him as Blacks,
was my great-great grandfather. The 1860 census in
Claiborne County, TN. listed Blackston Williams, age 50,
borned in Va., and wife, Oma, age 45, b. Va., children:
Rebecca, age 18, b. Va., Nancy, age 16, b. Va., and
Paten, age 15, William, age 11, Mary (Polly), age 9,
Martha, age 7, Joseph, age 5, and Jane, age 4 mos., all
borned in Tennessee. According to research by Louise
Ferguson (deceased now), a descendant of John and Catherine
Williams, Blackston and John were twins.
