Hi Ed, I hope you can help me. I have an ancestor, Thomas Lawson b. Hawkins Co., TN 1877, son of Curren (Kern, Colonel, etc.) Lawson and Mary Manis (Maness, Manes, etc.) Thomas was shot and killed in Keokee, VA in 1910 in a dispute over furniture. (Go figure!) Thomas was supposedly married at the time but I do not have a wife's name. He was formerly married to Mary Molly Ferrell.

I have "heard" there was a trial and the "shooter" was found not guilty. I can't find anything at all on this, no court records, no death cert, nothing.
