Hi Ed,
I am trying to find the parents of Henry Stephen Burk(e)(s). I find him in the 1850 and 1860 census in Lee County. He is married to Hannah Oaks. (Ibelieve her parents to be Almon and Mary Oaks also of Lee County but from Tennessee). He and Hannah's children at the time were Lucinda, Mary and Almon. Lucinda married an Augustus Tinsley. The family moved to West Virginia sometime between 1864 and 1870. Lucinda married in 1864 in Lee County. The family is in Kanawha County in the 1870 census. Family lore has Henry in the Confederate Army and never coming back or leaving for WV with the family but dying on the way and being buried along the road. Any help you could give would be appreciated. Any suggestions on how I might go about finding his parents or siblings.

Lynn Andrews
