Thank you for looking. Our Robert went to Claiborne Co., TN. He was born in 1760 NC and bound out to James Doak in 1773. His sisters, Elizabeth age 10 and Providence age 5, were bound out to Jesse Bumps. Providence later married John Critchfield. IN 1779 Robert and (we believe to be) brother named William enlisted at the Holston River Settlements with Col. John Montgomery and served under Capt. John Bailey for the duration of the war. We know Robert was in Grainger Co., TN by 1799. Providence and John migrated to Claiborne about 1813. In 1830 Robert left TN and went to Putnam County, IN. While we have lots of supporting details, we continue to try to find additional ties to Robert and who his parents were. Thanks again.
Paula G. Herron
