Hi;
He was born abt 1813 and I have found him on
a 1835 tax list in Lee Co, at least I am hoping it is him! I have
also found Thompson's in 1830 census in Lee Co. Also on
this census is James Gilbert, if this is the Rev James then
he had a daughter Sarah (Sallie) Gilbert who I believe married
my Lewis. By 1850 both Lewis and Rev James are living in
Hancock Co. TN and Lewis is married to a Sarah. Finding info
on this Gilbert line is not really that hard! But finding which
Thompson line my ggg grandfather belongs to has been tough.
According to the 1830 census there are 4 Thompson's that
have a son in the right age group to be my Lewis! Francis,
James, Jonathan, William. Does anyone out there have any info
on these Thompson lines? Or know of my Lewis/Louis Thompson? Any help would be appreciated!!!
