I felt like I needed to inform people that had ever delt with Mary Parkey of her death. She was one the the most knowledgable people that I knew of that knew so much about the history of Lee County and Hancock County, Tennessee. At this time all I know was that there was a house fire. Her home was filled with books, files, census records and all sorts of information. I know that people from all over the country called her to ask for help and I dont think that she ever told anyone that she didnt have the time. She made the time to help in the never ending search for peoples roots. We have all lost a woman that had a lot of knoweldge and compassion. Just thought that I would share this with anyone that might have know her.
