I am researching my family from Lee County, VA. Hubbard Braylock/Blalock/Blaylock married Catherine Groseclose 12/1842 in Claiborne County, TN. They lived in Rose Hill,
VA and had Mary, b.1843, Joseph b. 1845, Ruben b. 1848 and Margaret b. 1853. Joseph married Margaret Locke. They are buried in the Brooks Cemetery, Ewing, VA. Does anyone have any info on Hubbard and Catherine? Their children are living with other families in the 1860 census and Hubbard and Catherine are not listed. I now think that Hubbard may have been named for his mother's family name. Ed Cress gave me the info that I now have. I am very grateful to him. I need to find the name of Hubbard's father in order to continue.
