Hi Angela. On an LDS Family Search online, VA and Ky, I found: David Smith, b. ca 1792, died ca. 1827 Harlan Co, KY. On 10 Dec 1801 in Washington Co., VA, he married Sarah (Sally) Roman(s), b. 1788, Washington Co., VA., Daughter Of Jacob Roman(s), b. 1752, Washington Co., VA. and Mary_________?, born 1756, Washington Co., VA In the Bicentennial History of Lee Co., Va it states that Sally's father was Jerusha Romans died in nearby Smyth Co., VA and left land to David Smith and Sally Romans. Based on the LDS record I tend to believe that Jacob and Mary Romans were Sally's parents. Ed Cress, Lee Co., Va. researcher
