Hi Mark. In the few scattered records of Lee Co., Va. 1792 to 1820 I did not find a James Jennings. I did an LDS search online, VA. for a James Jennings b. 1772 to 1992 when he woul have been 20 to 30 years old in 1812. There are 40 James Jennings listed for this period in eastern Va. counties, but non b. on Hanover Co., VA. No way to tell if he ws one of the other James Jennings who ws in the war of 1812. Ed Cress, Lee Co., Va. genealogist.
