Mr. Cress:

I have a slew of kin in Lee County at some point in the 1800s. Several had started off in Ashe County, NC, or Sullivan County, TN, and some eventually went on to Wolfe or Bell counties in Kentucky.

I am particularly interested, though, in finding info on my gfather James Patton Tyler, Sr., on his father, Gale Barron Tyler, and Gale's father James S. Tyler. James was probably born in Sullivan County, TN, but may have married in Lee County (to Catherine Barron, his 2nd wife.) My ggrandfather Gale was probably born and married there as well to Martha E. Graham, daughter of Dr. John Patton Graham and America Pennington (dau of Thomas, gdau of Neddie.)

Here are some of my known paternal lines, in SW Virginia: TYLERS, PENNINGTON, GRAHAM, RUSSELL, FLANNERY, HOBBS, BALL, CRABTREE, TRITT, BOONE, HANKS, RHOTON, TAYLOR, ROBINETTE, RIGGS, CARTER, JOHNSON, SWANGO, BARRON, HELVEY, COLLIER, LANE, BAILIE, YEARY, GALE, OSBORNE, MCCULLUM, ROBBINS, HORTON, HAMILTON, SEVIER AND HAMMOND(S).

Contrary to what the account info on some of my postings says, my email box for cousins on my paternal lines is miasignora1@yahoo.com. (I somehow locked myself out of my original miasignora ebox and am trying to use miasignora2 (probably listed behind this page) for my maternal lines.

Genforum promised several weeks ago to organize my old postings along those lines, but hasn't done so yet.

Many thanks,
Martha
