Hi Gary. I have prety complee Lee Co., Va. records, although sketch in the early 1800s. James and Jerusha Walker and their children disappear from Lee Co., Va. records after 1850. Wonder where they went? In the 1840 LCV census is also Elenuel Walker and wife, both born ca.1770-1780. Wionder if they could be the parents of James F. Walker? (They were the right ages to be his parents). As a Wells descendant I have an extensive file on Wells, but no Jerusha Catherine Wells was found. An LDS FAmily search online, VA and NC did not find Elenuel Walker, James Freeman and Jerusha Catherine Wells Walker. Ed Cress, Oak Ridge,Tn, Corresponding Secretary, Lee Co. Hist. and GEn. Society.
