Hi Ed,
I am looking for a James Freeman Walker who married a Jerusha Catherine Wells sometime between 1837-1840. I find them listed in the 1840 Lee co. census and then in the 1850 Lee co. census as James Walker 32, Jerusha 28, Richard W. 10, Joseph M. 7, William L. 4, Nancy 1. Which makes sense because I have Richard W. dob as 1840 and I have info showing Joseph and William as being born in Lee co., VA.
I can't seem to locate any marriage or land purchase info on them however. These census's show James Walker's birthplace as North Carolina and Jerusha Well's as Virginia.
Got any info or ideas?
Thanks,
Gary Walker
