According to Margery Heberling Harding in "George Rogers Clark and His Men Military Records 1778-1784" Major George Walls was commander of the Illinois Regiment from January l, 1782 until April 14, 1783. My great, great, great grandfather was a private in Capt. John Bailey's company. He was George Shepherd. I am writing a family history and I would like to know more about Major Walls. I am sending for his military record.
