My ancestor John Pynes was a legatee in the 1676 will of George Bally in Lancaster Co. VA. Others were Bally's daughter Mary, James Merritt, Edward White, James Clark and Anthony Thompson. I thought perhaps they may be sons-in-laws of Bally. I also find Edward White in the 1700 Lancaster Tithe List with 1 tithe. Do you know what these men have in common that they were all named in George Bally's will? Thanks
