Yes Francine, that is the William White family I am trying to trace to my William White born Jan 10, 1755 Fauquier Co [was Prince Wm. Co in 1755- until 1759- but Wm. calls it Fauq. Co in his RW pension application in 1832] I would like to know the names of the children of William White whose father's will was probated 2-14-1678. There was a William White b ca 1730, d Oct 1804 Fauquier Co VA. married to Mary _____ that I believe is the father of my RW soldier, William White b 1755. The problem is that William did not have a son William in his estate papers..no will. I wonder if William was his first son and already received his share? Or a son from a first marriage? I would not be concerned with this connection except, William White b ca 1730 and my William White b 1755 both named a son Carr White. My William named his Carr Bailey White. There has been a Carr Bailey or the name Bailey in my family to date. William b ca 1730 served in Fr & In War 1761 roster with Carr Bailey Sr. My William served with Carr Bailey Jr. A couple of William's [ b ca 1730], children married into the Carr Bailey family. All but one listed in 1730 William White's estate were living at Mason Co KY in 1804-1816 and received their share. The dau. no there was Sarah [White] [George] Roach who were living in Prince Wm. Co and George Roach handled the estate. He sold it to Wm. White's [1730] neighbor, William Hunton. There were many Wm. White Sr and Jr legal entries in Fauquier Co VA concerning those people with same names I have seen in Lancaster Co VA. Neighbors both places. If I could just find children of two more generations of William White whose will was probated 1678, I believe I could connect my line. I appreciate you help very much. Please keep your eyes open for me. Ginny K. Notify Administrator about this message?
