Binion Slaughter, ca 1770-1836

One of my ancestors was a man named Binion Slaughter, born about 1770, probably in Tidewater Virginia, died 1836 in King William County; his son Selim Slaughter married Emeline Davis, daughter of Parks B. Davis and Martha Meredith, about 1836. I suspect that Binion was a family name, but I have not been able to find any information about a Binion family in Virginia. The only entry for Binion in Swem's Index deals with a headright given for the importation of a man named Binion. I will appreciate any assistance.
