Col. JC Johnson

I am looking for the locality of death of Colonel James Christopher Johnson(1832-1905) of King William County. He was the son of Major James Johnson(?-1832) and Elizabeth Hawes(1811-1889) who were both of King William County.
Colonel JC Johnson was for a brief time commander of the 22nd Virginia Battalion and spent time as an officer with other units during the Civil War. After the war he was clerk of King William County courts from 1887 to 1893. He lived on a farm on Route 600/West River Rd in the vicinity of Beulahville. Col. Johnson died in 1905 and was buried at Colosse Baptist Church which is on Route 30 halfway between Central Garage and West Point.
However, I have been to the King William Courthouse and looked for his Will, but I was unable to find it, which leads me to believe that he died in another locality. If anyone has any information on this matter please reply.

Thank you,
dlc
