I am seeking any information on any member of any Dugar family of King William County, VA. Robert Dugar was a Revolutionary War Soldier, b. about 1742, since he stated he was 59 in King William Co's 1812 Militia info. Robert married Dolly (unknown)and in 1833 when his living heirs petitioned for additional Bounty Land they were: Elvira, wife of Benjamin Franklin Dugar (my line), Mary, wife of Allen Beasley, Agness, wife of William H. Dugar, Catherine, Ann, and Elizabeth. There are very few Dugars and all in VA during that time frame are in King William County with the exception of one, Thomas Dugar, who is apprenticed to Thomas Geddy, Silversmith, of Williamsburg. The earliest mention of any Dugars in VA is when a Thomas Dugar's burial is mentioned in Blisland Parish records and his orphans are Clift and Thomas Dugar.
A few records survived the fires in King William Co. 23 Dec 1794. "Thomas Frazer to Robert Dugar. 160 acres in St. John's psh which descended to the sd Thomas Frazer from his father William Frazer, bouding on the lands of William Gregory, James Dugar, Falvey Frazer, and William Brett. Wits: Ro. Price, Drury Ragsdale, Carter Braxton, Jr. Recorded June 22, 1795."
Would like to know if any relationship existed between Robert Dugar and Frazer family or anything about Thomas Frazer such as wife, siblings, children.
