KGC ws formed, in 1720, from the upper part of Richmond County - a narrow strip lying on the Rappahannock River and reaching up to Stafford. In the beginning, Kin George contained the 2 parishes of H...anover and Brunswick - the churches were Strothers, near Port Conway, and Muddy Creek, about 9 miles from Fredericksburg. Thus, if you're looking for someone in this area, pre 1720, you'll need to look for them in Richmond Co.
I have a book on KJC 1720-1990, and while there are mentions of the surname Owens, there are no Nathaniels or John.
I have the quit rents for Va, 1704 and there are the following John Owens included;
John Owens...Princess Anne Co
John Owens...Prince George Co
While there are other Owens included, there are none in Richmond Co.
