I've just started helping someone with family history from this area. Mention has been made here of Nathaniel Owens, a cemetary, and a Owens history book from 1991. Thanks,everyone, for these leads. I have Nathaniel's father, John, as being born in this area around 1685. but have not seen any mention of the area being settled then. Was it? Thanks.
