Sandra, thank you for your helpful information. I feel more comfortable with my Dennis Mullin owning several slaves but no land. I have felt for some time that he was an ironworker. Is it possible he worked at a forge or other form of ironworking and the slaves worked the land he rented? Thanks so much for your help. Madeline
