I just found that Joseph Brounley Bible Record and it is definately mine, Robert Howerton Brownley was my great grandfather, his son. I do not know who Mrs.Harriet Courtney was but will try to find out. The way the record reads it makes me wonder if Harriet may have even been Joseph's mother who may have remarried????? - his father died in 1859, buried at Bruington Church. I never knew who his mother was. What info do you have on this line? The child Miriam is Joseph's granddaughter, dau of Judge Kilby and Harriet Lanetta Brownley, she was only 2 when she died. This was from Kilby info on Gen.com library. If your Harriet Brounley-Courtney was Joseph's mother, maybe he named his dau after her, makes sense.
