The Surry Light Artillery served as infantry in the 3rd Virginia Infantry Regiment until spring of 1862. There is a book by Lee Wallace, entitled the name of the unit, published by HE Howard of Lynchburg, and available at many libraries-including Va Beach Central. Now that I think of it, HE Howard also put out a book about the Surrry Light Artillery.
