States: Virginia: Isle of Wight
The information about Christopher Reynolds, Sr., and his arrival in Colonial Virginia was obtained from "Seventeenth Century Isle of Wight County, Virginia, by John B. Boddie, p. 87." As you indicate, only Christopher Reynolds, Sr., is listed in the 1623 census and the 1625 muster for Warrascoyack [Warrosquyoake County], Virginia. In regards to Hotten's 1635 passenger list of the "Speedwell," does it list a destination for this "Chri: Reinolds, age 24? I agree with you that the nine passengers he is listed with certainly corresponds with the 450 acre patent Christopher received on 15 Sep 1636 for transporting nine servants to Colonial Virginia. Your reference to Hotten's list of the Speedwell is the first reference I have seen which supports that theory. Do you have the source and reference number for Hotten? Once I obtain the original source/documnetation for Hotten's listing of Christopher Reynolds' 1635 arrival on the Speedwell, I will include that information in a research update which I will post on Christopher Reynolds, Sr., and his family of Isle of Wight County, Virginia.
