I noticed you are looking to do some family research. There is a Somerton Friends Meeting Place located at 5239 Quaker Drive in
Suffolk, Virginia which is not far from Isle of Wight. From my understanding this place and the people who are buried here date back to the Quaker time. I know a Jimmy Copeland and alot of his family is buried out there. If you would like I can see if I can put you in touch with him. I am sure he has a e-mail address and would give you any info he could. I believe he has done right much research on the Copeland family. Suffolk is also at the border of Virginia/North Carolina.
