Thank you for passing along this tidbit. My current theory is that Jesse Lankford was either Willis' older brother or uncle. Willis' mother, Martha Green Lankford married Michael Brewer about 1768, so I am assuming Willis' father was dead by then.

It's also great to know that Blanche Chapman's book is available through the local LDS Family History Center. I'll let you know when I come across Josiah Duck in my wanderings around Isle of Wight Co., VA.
