Thanks for posting this information. I just found the following yesterday, thanks to Jayne who is a member of IOW Co., VA mailing list. It was a look-up posted on the list:

ISLE OF WIGHT MARRIAGES 1628 - 1800 by Blanche Adams Chapman
page 060 BUTLER, SOLOMON and POLLY RAWLES - January 5, 1795; Surety, Willis Lankford; marriage bonds

Now I'll need to check to see if Rawls and Butlers were members of Black Creek Baptist Church too. There may be family connections in either case as well. Perhaps either the bride or groom was a child of a sister of Willis Lankford, or even a niece or nephew of Willis' wife.
