Most of the DUCK info came from all the IOW books I have. Much of it was from Historical Notes on IOW Co VA by King. You may not wish to purchase the book because of that BUT...in my experience, just when you think you have all you need from one source....you find another name and must return to the same source to look again. The book is well written and a wonderful history of IOW county. I have well gotten my moneys worth in just using it for myself, let alone sharing it on this genforum. Don't get me wrong, I receive no kickback from mentioning the greatness of the book. It is strictly your choice.
