Just to add a bit of info. MY Crumpler family was supposedly related to William Kinchon, but I have no documentation. In 1724 both William Kinchon and William Crumpler were present in the vestry meeting of the Old Brick Church. In a 1727 ? will Phillip Raiford names Kinchon and Crumpler "his brothers-in-law." William Crumpler's wife Elizabeth was a sister to Phillip Raiford. This latter family goes back to Crediton, Devonshire, England. Further records of the Raifords and some of the Crumplers may be found in Johnston Co.,N.C. and in Sampson and Duplin Cos., N.C. Pat
