I have been researching Bythesea for several years looking for ancestors. The spelllings change a lot and then change again when transcribed. Here are some spelled Bythesee and Bythessa. I would love to connect the dots in the wills mentioned below:

1678 May 7,, Thomas Bythessa, cousin. Date: May 7, 1678 Location: Isle Of Wight Notes: This probate record was extracted from microfilmed copies of the original Will Book. Remarks

1710: Novermber 5, SMITH, JANE, widow: Leg. John Bythessa; Young Robert Bythessa; Mary Corns; Son William; Son John; Daughter Sarah; Sister Elizabeth Deberry my two youngest children; Sister Mary Bethessa my eldest son William. Exs. Peter Deberrry and Robert Bythessa. D. Novermber 5, 1710. R. November 9, 1710. Wit. James Piland, Elizabeth Wood. Pg508 Isle of Wight, VA
