The earliest Custer I have recorded came to U..S. 1684. Paulus Kuster came in 1684. His son was the chainbearer for PA formation. He went for naturalization in 1692, and obtained naturalization after he died.

Colonial Archives - Lord Dunmore's War, V.II:241- 242. 15 March 1705/06:, Naturalized 1706 at Germantown. Minutes of the Provincial Council. Council held at Philadelphia. Johannes led petition for naturalization. Naturalized with father after death.

My father mentioned Isle of Wight. I don't know what he alluded to. Thank you kindly for your response.
