Hi Erik, The Illinois Marriage Index does have some misspellings. We have a picture of Zueriah & David West Browning's headstones showing that spelling, rather than the Zeuriah spelling in the index. We feel that her husband would have had her correct spelling put on the headstone, which is located in the Browning family cemetery, located about 1 1/2 mi. east of Denver, IL on private property. It's on a farm owned by a Browning descendant, through a brother of David Browning. And yes, my husband's great-grandmother was Hester Ann Damron, not the Ester spelling that is shown on the Illinois Index. William P. had two wives who were related, either sisters or cousins, #2 Caroline M. Seger was Mrs. Caroline Doty when they wed. Mary was the widow showing on his Civil War pension records, but Hancock was her married name when she wed William. I haven't been able to ascertain what Mary's maiden name was...yet. Also don't know if William had any additional children after his son, William H. Damron b-Sept. 27, 1871 with 1st wife Catherine E. Seger. I have more data on this William & his descendants. Looking forward to sharing with you! Bobbi
