There is a publication that you should consult. It is, Vital Records of Highland County, Virginia, compiled by John Clifton Methany, Jr., and Emma Robertson Matheny. It lists some 180 Gum individuals and their burial locations Highland. This book is available at the library in Monterey, VA.

Also there are three Gum graves on my land in Highland. There are, McBride (Mickey)Gum, d. 29 Feb. 1892; Alice Gum (wife) d. 22 Sep. 1882; and J. McB. Gum (Jesse McBride)d. 13 July 1858, age 13. You are welcome to visit these graves at my farm at Hightown anytime.
