Howdeee Cousin, Do you have anything more on Thomas Jones??? I gathered a lot of records on Thomas while in SLC this past January, but haven't tied him down to any parents or siblings, YET. He seems to be connected some how to Robert Jones, they are on records together quite often and Robert named a son Thomas. But the whole Jones family in that area used the most common given names -- ever. I found Thomas Jones listed as an administrator on the inventory records for the estate of a Joseph Jones, also William Standefer is on the same record, so I feel this Thomas is our Thomas. I have a feeling this Joseph may be Thomas's father. Thomas did name his first son Joseph.
I'm going back to SLC soon and plan on pursuing the Jones line some more.
I now have six lines in Henry Co, VA in that Colonial time period, two from my Dad's side and four from Momma's side.
I'm working on records in several counties. I call Lunenburg Co the "grandparent" county. Our Jones family is on the Pigg River and they show up in several county records as the boundaries changed. I had to make a family tree for Franklin Co (taken from Henry) so I could keep track of the dates of those changes.
I may work some on the TN records, too. You never know what will pop up on old records. Do you have any clues or susggestions for me to work on? (^_^)
