Hahaha...thank you 'Mee Too'... Ridgeway, Henry County, VA... got it! This is very exciting information to hear... I'm a million miles away but maybe I can find someone who just might be close by and who has a digital camera and is looking for an adventure!

Sudie was my Great Grandpa's Benjamin Marable's little sister.
I've found the tombstone of her Mother 'Lizzie Beall Gaither Marable' in N.C. and her brother Benjamin in W.VA. but until recently I did not know about Sudie and Forrest.

Susan "Sudie" Caroline Marable Scales was wife of E. Forrest Scales Jr. and was buried there in 1926 according to her obituary in THE BEE newspaper in Danville, Va.

I'll check out that website and see where it leads me.

Thanks, Gail
