Deborah: Among my ancestors there is an Elizabeth PETTY who was the daughter of Zachariah PETTY and Z.'s spouse Elizabeth MARSHALL. Elizabeth PETTY married Reuben FORD 9 Oct 1806, and the couple had (1) George Weaver FORD; (2) Marshall FORD; (3) Milton FORD; (4) Keziah Ford; (5) Bourne G. FORD; and (6) Elijah FORD.
It was the mention of both the name WEAVER and MARSHALL in your post that prompted me to post this.
I have that Zachariah PETTY was born 1742 in Orange Co., VA, and Elizabeth MARSHALL was born 1756 in Culpeper Co. VA.
I know that Reuben FORD and Elizabeth PETTY were married 9 Oct 1806, and their 4th child Keziah was born in 1817. (Keziah went on to marry my LOGAN ancestor on 27 Sep 1836 in Pulaski Co. KY.)
This info may be found in the FORD family file at the Somerset, KY, Public Library Historical Society of Pulaski County section.
I think Marshall FORD was born in 1808.

S(My ancestor was Child No. 4 of Reuben FORD and his spouse Elizabeth PETTY.) I know Reuben FORD and Elizabeth PETTY were married 9 Oct 1806.
