I wish I could be of more help to you. Your names are frequent names in my line of Rogers.
I only know for sure of one son of Davids and that is my George.
This proof is from an affidavit George gave in Hawkins Co., Tn. for Moreman Lawson for Rev. War Pention, stating 'Lawson served in the Henry Co. Militia in the battle of Flower Gap under my (George's) father Lieut. David Rogers.
I have not been able to find a Will for David or date, or place of death. The last record I have of him is in Henry Co. on Russell Creek in the 1787 census/tithables. I believe he moved elsewhere but haven't been able to find him. He did recieve a land grant from Buncombe Co., N.C. for service in Rev. This land was in Green Co. which later became Hawkins Co., Tn. I believe this is how George (his son) got there.
There is a David Rogers still in Henry Co. census after the date I mentioned but his age indicates this one would be David Jr.
Davids Sr. father was William of Bedford Co., Va. and I believe Wm.'s father was John son of Giles.
I hpoe this helps.
