although there are a few John BARTLETT records in Henry Co, VA (very few compared to the other BARTLETTs who lived there - unexplained unless he was the John BARTLETT convicted of a felony and he was in jail for quite a while...).
In any case most of the children attributed to John of Henry Co have been tied to Montgomery Co, VA and from there back to the Frederick Co, VA area (inlcuding Berkeley Co). There were 2 BARTLETT families in the Frederick/Berkeley Co area at the time: William BARTLETT d 1777 Berkeley Co, VA - but all of his children are now accounted for; and Garner BARTLETT who d 1811 Montgomery Co, VA with ch: William, Reugen, John, Thomas, Lydia TOWNSLEY and 3 not named... It appears these may be the BARTLETTs who went to Warren Co, IN.
I'd appreciate any feedback or questions on this line of reasoning.
