Hughes Family of Virginia and DNA

Hughes researchers have huge a puzzle or brick wall in sorting out our Hughes ancestors. We have DNA results for Hughes testing so far posted on Family Tree DNA project site. If you are a Hughes male and you think your ancestors were in Virginia ca. 1700s, particularly from the Henrico, Goochland, or Hanover County, Virginia, areas, please email me at vapsmith@ntelos.net. Family Tree has special prices on its DNA tests through the end of September. It's a good time to think about testing. If you need help with the web sites or making a decision, please email me at vapsmith@ntelos.net.

Additionally, if you need help in understanding the charts at the project, several of us can help with that as well. We are maintaining separate charts on our computers where we can quickly compare up-to-date information.

This is a huge project but DNA testing makes it manageable. I look forward to hearing from other Hughes researches and descendants.
