Thomas Osbornes in Adventures of Purse & Person

Is the account of the two Thomas Osbornes in early VA given in __ Adventures of Purse & Person 1607-1627 __ considered valid today? This work says that the older Lt. (later Capt.) Thomas Osborne, who came to VA on the "Bona Nova" in November 1619 was not the father of Thomas Osborne b. ca 1607 who came to VA on the "Francis Bonaventure" in August 1620. Is that still accepted opinion among Osborne researchers?
