Edward Osborne received a patent for 400 acres in Henrico Co. VA in June 1636 for transporting himself & 7 persons: Robert James, William Howe, Richard Hitchcox, Leon. Boloe [Ballou], Robert Ellom, Charles Steward, Richard Bumpass.

Who was this Edward Osborne?

In Feb 1638/9, Christopher Branch received a patent for importing 7 persons, including Robert Ellom, Charles Steward, Richard Bumpass. Had these 3 men made a second trip to England and back? Or was Branch "double-dipping" here?
