I am looking for any information about Henry Alexander Rayburn. My Ancestry.com trial just expired and I didn't renew. What I have is
b. 2 Jul 1848 Richmond, Henrico, VA
m. 13 May 1874
d. 17 Jun 1922 Los Angeles, CA
The info I have for his spouse is
b. 17 Apr 1852 Franklintown, York, PA
d. 10 Apr 1932 Los Angeles, CA
I have been looking to connect my husband's g-g-grandfather Henry A. Rayburn as that is as far as our research goes on the Rayburn line. I know he was only about 16 during the Civil War. I don't know what he did during that or even if he was still in Richmond area. I am curious how he met Jennie from PA, and when our Rayburn's came to the U.S. I have seen these two listed on the 1880 census for Wyandotte, Wyandotte, Kansas, and know the family went to Denver, Colorado where son Charles Blair Rayburn was born in 1875. The Rayburns had connections to relatives in Spanish Fork, UT and then moved on to Los Angeles, CA. I am also aware of the Rayburn DNA site and have looked at it, but not made any connections or (overlooked a possible one). I would appreciate any exchange of information regarding the Rayburn's listed or regarding Jennie Cruse.
