Byrd Park Methodist Church, Richmond, Va-1941
Posted by: Lois Carey (ID *****6110) Date: July 03, 2006 at 04:47:46
  of 840

I found among my mothers things a program from the
dedication of this church on sunday, Jan. 21, 1940

My family were members there for many years.
Is it still a church??

From this bulletin:
W.W. Peele,D.D, Bishop in Charge
J. Manning Potts D.D District Superintendent
James C.Sanders, Jr. Pastor

on the back of the program is a long history of the
Epworth Methodist Church- corner of washington St.
( Now Lombardy Street) and Winder Street began
there in the early spring of 1896
There is much more if anyone out there has memories
of the church.
My mother died in 1979
Would love to hear from any former members
my parents were Vera and Bill Long
who lived on Parkwood Avenue

I have a whole scrapbook of cards from
church members at the death of my father
in January, 1941.
