Did Poor Farms exists in Hanover County Virginia in
the late 1700's? Did Wards of the County including
orphanned children work on these Poor Farms? Is there
a record of names of orphanned children who were
interned on these farms? If YES is the answer to these questions, I would like a look-up of the name Judson or
John Judson Lain who may have lived in Hanover Co. VA,
was orphanned - became a ward of the state, and later
escaped and fled his situation
