Hello,

If the membership moved to Mt. Vernon Baptist, the church records may have moved with them. Each Baptist Church belongs to a Baptist Association. Sometimes the older church records are kept at the association office. Someone at Mt. Vernon Baptist could tell you which association they belong and where the office is located.

You might find information on the church in the back issues of the Halifax Newspaper.

If anyone has ever written and published information about the church, the Halifax or South Boston Libraries would probably have it.

Hope this helps.
