Vikky again...

Mike, the Wilburns who married into the Hughes line, also relocated from Halifax, VA to Smith Co TN. This same line of Wilburns were also IN Prince Edward Co VA.

What I am saying here is this...It would appear to me that your Hughes must surely be connected to the Hughes line that the Wilburns married into. From the history book written in 1906, by one of William Wilburns many decendants...Suzannah Hughes who m James French in 1787, Montgomery Co VA. was the sister of William Wilburn. William was the son of Richard Wilburn b. circa 1717....and a descendant of the Wilburns of Goochland, VA.

There were also Wilburn/Rice marriages and Wilburn/Garland marriages...

It would certainly appear to me that your Hughes were related to the Hughes of Goochland, VA. If this is not the case, I would love to learn why this is not possible.

Thanks heaps,

Vikky
