Where I work from, India, without a computer I would be out of the picture completly.

Re sources, was your observation about LDS in reference to my mention of World Family Tree, the folks that sort of provide this Genforum baby, or was it more exasperation with the kind of stuff one can get from the IGI files. (In them, I see someone has identified my father as being born in Missouri when the dear man was born in Canada.)

The reason I know anything at all about Doswell is that I tried to do what you have done, check out all the Rogers in the Halifax, Charlotte, Lunenburg, Co., VA area to see if there were links. So, I had Doswell, the Rogers of Surrey and a few more.

There were some on-line descendants of the Caldwell/Rodgers line to help me with that family, but we have same problem as you do in regard to tracing those early ancestors.
