I have been able to trace my Martin family as follows: 1760 - VA, taxpayers -Spotslyvania Co. VA - Benjamin, Sr. & Jr.; 1782 - VA Tax Payers - Lunenburg - Benjamin, Sr. & Jr.; 1785 Enumeration of householders - Halifax, Co. VA - Benjamin, Sr. & Jr. and John. Then in the 1787 Census of Virginia - Halifax Co. Benjamin, Sr. & Jr. and John with also, James, William, Jacob, John#2 (likely #1's son), Nathan and William #2 (likely #1's son). Need information on wives of all for I do strongly suspect both Benjamin, Jr. and John were sons of Benjamin, Sr., also, likely William #1, James and Nathan with John (or James) being the youngest. John, I know was born ca. 1750 for I have a photostatic copy of John's will which was written 4-4-1825 and he died shortly after the 1830 census of Wayne Co. KY (where he had been listed in the 80 to 90 age range column) to where he had moved after leaving TN which is where he migrated to from VA. Can anyone tell me how to get the names of their (from Benjamin, Sr. on) wives and daughters. I do know that Benjamin had 2 daughters 1 named Judith and another Elizabeth for they married into the family of someone who contacted me through GenForum concerning Martins that her Wilburn family had married. Any information on the Benjamin, Sr. Martins of Halifax, County, VA would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for all your help. Slan Lait, Enid
