Karen,In answer to your question about the date of the court order in Charlotte County,VA for William Keeling. It was Feb. 1772 and a summons directing the sheriff to bring William Keeling before the court.He was indebted to John Carter. Along with this was a letter dated May 1772 from John Cater stating Edward Keeling had agreed to pay his brothers debt and court cost. Osborn Keeling was in Charlotte County at that time and he and his sons William,Leonard and Carlton went to NC. What is your Keeling line down from Benjamin Keeling? Ruth
